Johann Urb playing Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil 5

Actor Johann Urb has been reportedly roped in to play the role of Leon Kennedy, a cop-turned-government agent of part 2, in Resident Evil: Retribution. Milla Jovovich has herself confirmed the news on a social networking site.

She tweeted, “He [Urb] is our Leon Kennedy and looks just like him, BTW!!" Since last week, there have been rumours about his association with the project but now it has been officially confirmed. He will be paired up with Milla in the forthcoming film.

Resident Evil: Retribution directed by Paul WS Anderson also features Boris Kodjoe, Guillory, Shawn Roberts, Colin Salmon and Michelle Rodrigue. The project will hit the floors on October 16 and will be released on September 14, 2012, in the US.
