in
Pirates
of
the
Caribbean:
On
Stranger
Tides,
is
joining
the
actor
again.
The
Hollywood
filmmaker
will
direct
Depp
in
his
remake
of
1934
film
The
Thin
Man,
which
features
Depp
as
Nick
Charles.
Rob
is
'overjoyed'
to
work
with
him
again.
In
an
official
statement,
Rob
Marshall
says,
"John
and
I
are
overjoyed
at
the
idea
of
working
with
Johnny
again,
especially
on
such
a
classy
and
classic
project.
We
are
also
thrilled
to
be
partnering
this
time
with
such
wonderful
producers
as
Christi
Dembroski
and
Kevin
McCormick,
and
we
are
looking
forward
to
working
with
Warner
Bros.
to
create
a
reinvention
of
a
beloved
story."
However,
The
Thin
Man
reboot
will
be
produced
by
Rob
Marshall,
John
DeLuca,
Johnny
Depp,
Christi
Dembrowski
and
Kevin
McCormick.
The
film
follows
Charles,
a
former
detective
who,
along
with
his
wife
Nora,
parties
too
much
but
ends
up
investigating
a
case.
Jerry
Stahl
will
write
the
script
for
the
comedy
crime
movie.
