Josh Pence to star in Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises

Actor Josh Pence, who has appeared as the body double for Hammer as Tyler Winklevoss in The Social Network, has reportedly been signed by director Christopher Nolan for his next movie in the Batman series, The Dark Knight Rises. According to sources, the budding star will play an important role in the film.

It is reported that Christopher Nolan has planned to include a flashback scene featuring a young Ra's Al Ghul in his upcoming movie The Dark Knight Rises. He has roped in Josh Pence for the role. The actor is said to be playing super-villain Ra's Al Ghul in the upcoming movie, which will be released in 2012.

However, Ra's Al Ghul is a DC Comics super-villain and has been featured in various media adaptions. Christopher Nolan has used this character in his movie Batman Begins and it was portrayed by actors Liam Neeson and Ken Watanabe. The 2005 film saw the villain approaching death when the train he boarded crashed. Now the speculation is that Nolan is reviving the character in his film The Dark Knight Rises.
