judges
of
the
Cannes
Film
Festival
for
the
year
2011.
On
Tuesday,
April
19,
it
has
been
officially
announced
that
Jude
and
Uma
would
represent
UK
and
US
respectively
in
the
competition
jury
panel,
which
is
fronted
by
Robert
De
Niro
According
to
official
statement,
Jude
Law
and
Uma
Thurman
will
work
with
six
others
from
China,
Argentina,
Norway
and
other
countries.
Robert
De
Niro
has
been
selected
as
the
jury
president.
French
director
Olivier
Assayas,
producer
Nansun
Shi,
critic-writer
Linn
Ullmann,
director
Johnnie
To,
actress-producer
Martina
Gusman
and
director
Mahamat
Saleh
Haroun
from
Chad
would
work
under.
The
jury
will
award
seven
prizes
during
May
11
to
22.
The
in-competition
films,
which
were
announced
last
week,
included
Paolo
Sorrentino's
'This
Must
Be
the
Place',
Terrence
Malick's
"The
Tree
of
Life",
and
Lynne
Ramsay's
"We
Need
to
Talk
About
Kevin".
