Actress
Katie
Holmes
was
shocked
to
learn
that
the
bosses
at
The
History
Channel
have
banned
her
'The
Kennedys'
miniseries
from
being
aired
on
the
network.
The
Hollywood
star
says
that
she
stayed
out
of
the
subsequent
dispute
though
she
had
good
time
playing
her
character
in
the
controversial
show.
'The
Kennedys'
is
an
upcoming
eight-hour
mini-series
chronicling
the
lives
of
the
famous
Kennedy
family
and
the
tragedies
they
have
suffered.
Katie
Holmes
plays
Jackie
Kennedy,
the
wife
of
US
President
John
F
Kennedy,
which
is
played
by
Greg
Kinnear
in
the
show.
But
it
was
cancelled
due
to
the
complaints
over
its
historical
accuracy.
Talking
to
the
Access
Hollywood,
Katie
Holmes
said,
"When
I
heard
about
The
History
Channel
not
airing
this,
I
was
as
shocked
as
everybody
else.
I
didn't
realise
that
was
coming.
I
kind
of
just
stayed
out
of
it.
I
had
a
wonderful
time
doing
this
job
and
playing
the
character
and,
you
know,
it's
up
to
the
producers
after
that..."
