Katie Holmes stays out of 'The Kennedys' dispute

Actress Katie Holmes was shocked to learn that the bosses at The History Channel have banned her 'The Kennedys' miniseries from being aired on the network. The Hollywood star says that she stayed out of the subsequent dispute though she had good time playing her character in the controversial show.

'The Kennedys' is an upcoming eight-hour mini-series chronicling the lives of the famous Kennedy family and the tragedies they have suffered. Katie Holmes plays Jackie Kennedy, the wife of US President John F Kennedy, which is played by Greg Kinnear in the show. But it was cancelled due to the complaints over its historical accuracy.

Talking to the Access Hollywood, Katie Holmes said, "When I heard about The History Channel not airing this, I was as shocked as everybody else. I didn't realise that was coming. I kind of just stayed out of it. I had a wonderful time doing this job and playing the character and, you know, it's up to the producers after that..."
