Lenny Kravitz added to The Hunger Games cast

Singer Lenny Kravitz is the last addition in the cast ensemble for The Hunger Games. On its official Twitter account, Lionsgate Films has announced that the 46-year-old singer would star in its upcoming Hollywood movie. According to Lionsgate, Kravitz would reprise the role of Cinna, the fashion stylist for Katniss Everdeen.

The Hunger Games is an adaptation of Suzanne Collins' best-selling trilogy. The movie deals with the story of 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, in the apocalyptic America. Lenny Kravitz will play Cinna in the film. He appears as a mild-mannered first time stylist, who can create Katniss' impressive designs.

Lenny Kravitz will be directed by Gary Ross in the film The Hunger Games. The director was impressed by Lenny's work in 'Precious'. Talking about his casting, Gary Ross says, "It was quiet and strong and understated and open hearted; all qualities which define this character. I'm really looking forward to this ride."

However, Jennifer Lawrence is playing the lead role, while Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Stanley Tucci are in the supporting cast in The Hunger Games. Lionsgate Films has aimed to release the film on March 23, 2012.
