The popularity of actress Lindsay Lohan has created fears that keeping her in the prison would cause overcrowding and be expensive. Now, the Los Angeles County Sheriff"s Department spokesman has told that Lindsay Lohan is likely to spend her jail sentence in her home.
It was reported earlier that Lindsay Lohan is a celebrity so she was given this facility. Now, spokesman Steve Whitmore has slammed the reports. He explains that Lohan will serve her time in her house because of overcrowding at the prisons in LA and budget constraints. He adds that her term will be supervised with electronic monitors, which is the best option.
Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail for violating her 2007 DUI probation. Whitmore says it is likely that Lohan might only serve 16-17 days of her sentence under house arrest. However, Lohan is happy to have closed that chapter in her life. She hopes to concentrate on her acting career after serving her term.
