Michael Mann to direct Go Like Hell

If we are to go by the latest reports, Michael Mann is reportedly set to direct a new film based on AJ Baime"s book 'Go Like Hell'. Sources claim that the American director is said to be negotiating with 20th Century Fox to work on the motor racing tale about the legendary 1966 Le Mans grand prix.

'Go Like Hell' is a real-life story of the famous competition between the Ford Motor Co. and Ferrari that led to Ford winning the Le Mans in 1967. The movie revolves around how young Henry Ford II made his family"s company become the first American car maker to win the European car race over Ferrari.

Michael Mann's last film was the 2009 depression-era crime drama Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp as notorious bank robber John Dillinger. Besides writing script, he had also produced the film, which has received fairly positive reviews from critics.
