Salma, Antonio promote Puss In Boots at Cannes

Actress Salma Hayek and actor Antonio Banderas made a stylish appearance at the Cannes International Film Festival on Wednesday, May 11. The stars climbed a giant pair of boots at the Film Fest as a part of the promotion of their upcoming movie Puss In Boots.

Salma Hayek and actor Antonio Banderas arrived in the French Rivera to plug Puss In Boots, which is a spin-off from the successful Shrek franchise. They greeted reporters at the premiere event in Cannes. They posed for pictures before climbing to the top of the massive pair of boots reminiscent of those worn by Banderas' feisty feline character in the film.

However, animated movie Puss In Boots is about the events leading up to the sword fighting cat's meeting with Shrek and his friends. Antonio Banderas plays Puss in Boots, the main protagonist of the film, while Salma Hayek appears as Kitty Softpaws, a Tuxedo cat who is Puss's female counterpart. It is slated to release on November 4, 2011.
