The character played by Sigourney Weaver of an exobiologist named Dr Grace Augustine was seen breathing her last in Avatar. Seeing this, the audience thought that her character will be dead and had come to conclusion that they could not see her in its next instalment. Well, here is an interesting news from the horse's mouth that the character is not dead and will feature in Avatar 2.

Speaking to New York Magazine's Vulture, James Cameron has opened up on Dr Grace Augustine's role. He said that no roles will die in science-fiction films. "When you have a sci-fie series, a science-fiction franchise, you're never dead, unless your DNA is expunged from the universe. And then there's always time travel!"

Meanwhile, the filmmaker claims that he has not signed any other projects than Avatar series. For the next five years, he will keep himself busy with Avatar 2 and 3. The first instalment featured Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, Joel David Moore and others in the cast.
