Sony
Pictures
Entertainment,
a
popular
production
and
distribution
house,
is
reportedly
negotiating
with
Kathryn
Bigelow
and
Mark
Boal
to
acquire
the
distribution
rights
of
their
upcoming
movie,
which
has
been
tentatively
titled
Kill
Bin
Laden.
The
film
is
expected
to
hit
the
screens
in
the
fourth
quarter
of
2012.
Kill
Bin
Laden
is
all
about
a
hunt
for
the
Al
Qaeda
leader,
which
leads
to
his
death.
Kathryn
Bigelow
and
Mark
Boal
had
planned
to
do
the
movie
much
before
the
death
of
Osama
Bin
Laden.
But
the
project
was
delayed
due
to
the
slow
progress
in
the
preparation
of
the
script.
"With
the
death
of
Osama
Bin
Laden,
this
film
could
not
be
more
relevant," says
Amy
Pascal,
co-chairman
of
Sony
Pictures
Entertainment.
Originally
the
story
of
Kill
Bin
Laden
was
about
an
unsuccessful
attempt
to
hunt
Osama,
but
with
the
death
of
Osama,
Mark
Boal
is
now
making
some
changes
in
the
script.
According
to
sources,
Boal
is
finishing
the
last
touch
on
the
script.
Talking
about
the
film,
Amy
Pascal
says,
"Kathryn
and
Mark
have
an
outstanding
perspective
on
the
team
that
was
hunting
the
most
wanted
man
in
the
world."
Kill
Bin
Laden
is
directed
by
Kathryn
Bigelow,
who
will
also
produce
the
movie
with
Mark
Boal
and
Annapurna
Pictures
principal
Megan
Ellison.
Greg
Shapiro
will
serve
as
the
executive
producer.
The
film
will
start
rolling
in
this
summer
and
will
be
released
in
2012.
