Spider-Man making its way back to New York stage

Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is making its way back to New York stage on 14 June. The Spider-Man musical was facing set back due to a series of safety issues. Now, producers of the show have said that the revamped version of the show, which will include new songs written by Bono and The Edge, will relaunch in June.

The Broadway musical was to be launched last year, but has been put on the hiatus by series of problems. The show has yet to get past previews. Cast members have been injured after stunts went awry and early reviews were dreadful. But the show was a big hit for theatregoers, who turned up in droves to see it.

However, the revamped show will feature a new director creator Julie Taymor quit as the creative force of the musical in March and she has been replaced by Broadway veteran Phil McKinley. Drawing on over 40 years pf marvel comics, co-writers Julie Taymor and Glen Berger spin a spectacular new take on this tale that is famuliar and fresg yet filled with unexpected twists and turns.
