Steven Spielberg to direct Gods and Kings?

Ace filmmaker Steven Spielberg has been approached by Warner Bros. for Gods and Kings. Though, nothing has been finalised yet, the production house is planning to make the film under his direction.

Reports claim that Steven Spielberg has recently read the script written by Michael Green and Stuart Hazeldine. Warner Bros. is reportedly planning to have a meeting with him to discuss about the project. It is also thinking to produce the film in association with Dreamworks.

However, the movie is not an upgraded version of 1956s movie The Ten Commandments. The planned project is inspired by the Book of Exodus and some of the tales from the Old Testament. It is the story of Moses from his birth till death. Matti Leshem and Dan Lin are producing the forthcoming Hollywood film.
