Taylor Lautner, Nicolas Cage to star in Expendables 2

The casting of stars for Sylvester Stallone's forthcoming movie The Expendables 2 has become a big subject for gossip mongers. The latest rumour is that director Simon West is considering names of Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner and Ghost Rider star Nicolas Cage for the sequel to The Expendables.

Actors John Travolta and Chuck Norris had made to the wish list of Simon West in last July. Recently, the name of Hong Kong actor Donnie Yen was also heard for a lead role in the film been The Expendables 2, but he could not accept it because he still had a number of projects to finish.

Now, Simon West has reportedly added the names of Taylor Lautner and Nicolas Cage to his wish list. Sources also claim that he is also considering the names of Gunmen star Christopher Lambert and Breaking In thesp Christian Slater for the action-packed movie. Source say, “Most offers yet to go out."

However, The Expendables 2 is a sequel to The Expendables. Original cast Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture and Dolph Lundgren are returning to the sequel, while Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger are expected to have bigger roles than cameos. The movie is expected to arrive in theaters on August 17, 2012.
