Transformers: Dark of the Moon grosses $372 mn at Box Office

Transformers: Dark of the Moon has topped the worldwide Box Office by grossing $372 million in its opening weekend. With this collection, Shia LaBeouf starrer movie has become the third best worldwide debut of all time. Earlier, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was the best worldwide debut of all time with its opening collection of $394 million followed by Spider-Man 3 at $382 million.

Transformers 3 has also got largest opening weekend of the year at the domestic market. Previously, the record of the best debut of year was held by Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides with its earning $90.2 million. Now, Transformers: Dark of the Moon has broken the record by collecting $97.4 million at the domestic market.

However, Dark of the Moon has also managed to get two other significant results domestically. One is the biggest Independence Day weekend, beating Spider-Man 2 ($88.2 million) and the other is third-best July opening weekend. Transformers 3, which cost $195 million, is expected to finish the four-day holiday weekend with $116 million.
