New York: Actress Katie Holmes, who split from Tom Cruise in June 2012, was recently spotted kissing hunky new man in the city. Before you let your wild imagination flow, let me set it right that she did it for her reel life. The actress kissed her co-star Luke Kirby during the shooting of a romantic moment in her upcoming movie Mania Days, which is slated to hit the screens across the globe in 2014.

Mania Days is the second big screen outing of Katie Holmes after she parted her ways from Tom Cruise. The film is being shot just a few blocks from the place where Katie used to live with ex-husband. The actress was seen holding Luke's hands as they filmed a scene outside a church in the city. During the shooting of the movie, she was seen wearing denim cutoff shorts and boots.

Mania Days, which is produced by Spike Lee, is about a manic depressive rapper (Luke Kirby) who gets involved with a manic depressive poet (Katie Holmes) in a passionate affair that results in a pregnancy. Two manic depressives meet in a psychiatric hospital and begin a romance that brings out all of the beauty and horror of their condition. Written and directed by Paul Dalio, the movie also features Griffin Dunne, Christine Lahti, Bruce Altman, Alex Manette and Daniel Gerroll in cast.
