Oscar Awards 2013 nominations announced

Los Angeles, USA: The 85th Academy Awards is due to take place on February 24th and the winners will be announced on that day in the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Check out the nominees in the main categories for this year's Oscars:

Best Movie: Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Amour, Django Unchained, Life of Pi, Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty, Les Miserables.

Best director: Benh Zeitlin (Beasts of the Southern Wild), Michael Haneke (Amour), Steven Spielberg (Lincoln), Ang Lee (Life of Pi) and David O Russell (Silver Linings Playbook).

Best leading actor: Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook), Denzel Washington (Flight), Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln), Hugh Jackman (Les Miserables), Joaquin Phoenix (The Master).

Best leading actress: Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty), Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook), Quvenzhane Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild), Emmanuelle Riva (Amour) and Naomi Watts (The Impossible).

Best supporting actor: Alan Arkin (Argo), Robert De Niro (Silver Linings Playbook), Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master), Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) and Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln).

Best supporting actress: Sally Field (Lincoln), Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook), Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables), Amy Adams (The Master) and Helen Hunt (The Sessions) .

Best foreign language film: Amour (Austria), No (Chile), Kon-Tiki (Norway), A Royal Affair (Denmark) and War Witch (Canada).

Best animated feature: Frankenweenie, Brave, The Pirates! Band of Misfits, ParaNorman and Wreck-It Ralph.
