Penelope Cruz delivers her second child with Javier Bardem

Spanish actress Penelope Cruz has given birth to her second child with actor Javier Bardem in Madrid on Monday. Interestingly, the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star has delivered a baby girl on the same day that Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge announced that they welcomed a baby boy at St Mary's Hospital in London.

According to reports, Penelope Cruz, 39, was still in hospital on Tuesday. In a statement to the Hello! Magazine, a representative of Penelope Cruz has confirmed the news about her delivery. The rep said that the actress and Javier Bardem have welcomed their second child on Monday. When quizzed about the name of the baby, she declined to divulge the details stating that it is not yet known.

Penelope Cruz, who previously had a three-year relationship with Tom Cruise, started dating Spanish actor Javier Bardem after meeting him on the sets of Vicky Cristina Barcelona. They tied the knot at a private ceremony held at a friend's home in The Bahamas in July 2010. The actress gave birth to their first child, son Leonardo Encinas in January 2011 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
