86th Academy Awards: A Glimpse At Oscar Awards 2014 Nomination List

The prestigious 86th edition of Academy Awards is all set to be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014. The organizers of Oscar Awards 2014 have announced the nomination list for this year at a grand event held at Beverly Hills, California on Thursday morning. Having bagged 10 nods each, American Hustle and Gravity are leading the list, while 12 Years a Slave landed in the second place with nine nominations.

Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Dern, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Matthew McConaughey have been nominated best actor category of Oscar Awards 2014, while Amy Adams, Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Judi Dench and Meryl Streep walked away with a nod for best actress. Best director nominees are Steve McQuee, Alfonso Cuaron, David O Russell, Martin Scorsese and Alexander Payne.

A few Hollywood stars, who were nominated or had won Oscars last year, have once again made it the nomination list of 2014. Actors like Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, have returned this year with a nomination in the supporting actor category for each. Ellen DeGeneres, who had earlier hosted the Oscars in 2007, has been once again roped into host the 86th Academy Awards, which will be telecast live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland.
