arrested
on
Sunday
morning
at
3
a.m.
for
DUI,
the
California
Highway
Patrol
confirmed
E!News.
Amanda
faced
a
misdemeanor
charge
of
driving
under
the
influence
of
a
drug
according
to
the
California
Highway
Patrol
(CHP).
The
star
was
arrested
after
police
"determined
she
was
under
the
influence
of
a
controlled
substance" while
driving.
The
former
Nickelodeon
star
was
held
at
the
Van
Nuys,
Calif.,
station
on
$15,000
bail
before
she
was
released
at
12:44
p.m.
that
same
day,
reports
E!
News.
Her
next
court
appearance
is
scheduled
for
Oct.
23.
According
to
the
CHP,
officers
first
saw
a
white
Mercedes
Benz
GL
450
stop
in
the
middle
of
the
intersection
at
Van
Nuys
Boulevard
and
Riverside
Drive
for
a
red
light
around
3:45
a.m.
Officers
pulled
the
SUV
over,
and
Bynes
appeared
to
be
under
the
influence,
the
CHP
said.
Amanda
was
off
news
for
a
long
time
after
her
antics
last
year.
She
in
fact
went
for
a
rehab
program
as
well
following
which
she
moved
in
with
her
parents.
However,
the
DUI
arrest
has
brought
her
back
to
news.
