Amanda Bynes, Lindsay Lohan & Other Celebrities Who Got Arrested For DUI Charges

After the DUI (Driving Under Influence) arrest of Hollywood actress Amanda Bynes, we decided to take a look at the other Hollywood celebrities who went to jail on DUI charges. Amanda Bynes was arrested on Sunday morning in California.

Amanda faced a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of a drug according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The Nickelodean was arrested after police "determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance" while driving. The former Nickelodeon star was held at the Van Nuys, Calif., station on $15,000 bail before she was released at 12:44 p.m. that same day, reports E! News.

If we take a look into the past, Paris Hilton, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Mike Tyson, Nicole Richie and many more have also gone behind the bars on DUI charges. So it is not just Amanda Bynes who is facing DUI charges over and over again. Here is a list of Hollywood celebrities who were arrested on DUI charges.

Amanda Bynes

This is the second time Amanda Bynes was arrested on DUI charges. Last time she was arrested in 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Amanda was arrested and kept in jail for a night. Amanda was arrested for DUI after hitting a cop car.

Khloe Kardashian

Khloe was sentenced to three years probation following a March 2007 arrest for DUI. "What I could have done is just unthinkable," Khloe said later in her appearance on "The Tyra Banks Show." Khloe was sentenced to 30 days in jail in July 2008 for breaking the probation terms, but only served three hours of the sentence due to overcrowding.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton was charged with two misdemeanors - driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher in 2006. She later called Ryan Seacrest's radio show on L.A.'s 102.7 KIIS FM to explain the incident, saying she hadn't eaten anything the day of her arrest and had worked for hours on the set of her new music video.

Nicole Richie

Paris's once BFF Nicole was also arrested in 2006 for DUI charges. The star even admitted that she had smoked Marijuana and taken Vicodin earlier in the evening. Nicole was arrested and released on $15,000 bail. She was sentenced to four days in jail and three years of probation for the offense, her second DUI.

Bobby Brown

The famous R&B singer has been sent to 55 days DUI jail sentence for drunk driving, driving on a suspended license and a probation violation for a prior DUI incident. Bobby went for an 18 months alcohol treatment after the incident too!

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay's first DUI was when she crashed into a shrub while driving in Beverly Hills in 2007. She underwent a 45-day self-imposed rehab stint following this incident and just a few days (11 days to be precise) after her rehab release, she was arrested again. The case did not end here, Lindsay served 84 minutes in jail as part of the punishment for her two DUIs in 2007.
