A minute long official trailer of Gone Girl has been released by 20th Century Fox. The day might have belonged to television with Emmy Awards kicking the day and engaging celebrities as well as fans. However, Oscar winner Ben Afflick's upcoming movie Gone Girl's trailer just brought us back to the world of movies.

Gone Girl trailer opens with Ben Affleck's character as Nick Dunne who is meeting his future wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike). The movie is a thriller drama based on the Best Selling novel, Gone Girl by American writer Gillian Flynn. On the occasion of his 5th wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne reports that his beautiful wife, Amy, has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick's portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behaviour have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?

Gone Girl is directed by David Fincher who has given hits like Social Network, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Seven before. Gillian Flynn has written the screenplay of the film adaptation. Reese Witherspoon is producing the movie. Gone Girl also starsNeil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry. The thriller is going to release on October 3rd, 2014.
