'Foxcatcher' To Hit Indian Theaters In January 2015

The Indian audience have to wait a little more as the release of the upcoming biopic, "Foxcatcher" is not until New Year.

Foxcatcher which is inspired by real life incidents of Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz and his brother Dave, will release in India in January next year.

After having a limited release in November in the US, the film slowly started opening in theatres around the world and it would reach India Jan 16, 2015, read a statement.

Being released in India by PVR Pictures, the Bennett Miller directorial stars Channing Tatum as the Olympian Mark Schultz, Mark Ruffalo as David Schultz, Steve Carell as John du Pont and Sienna Miller as Nancy Schultz. The biopic is based on the murder of the wrestler by his paranoid-schizophrenic millionaire, John. Steve Carell has got a major makeover for the film and is garnering a lot of Oscar buzz for his performance as Pont in the American biographical film.

Foxcatcher is co-produced and directed by Bennett Miller. The movie is already creating a lot of Oscar buzz for several categories. Foxcatcher competed for the Palme d'Or in the main competition section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, where Miller won the Best Director Award. The biopic is giving tough competition to other recent releases like Unbroken and The Imitation Game.
