The movie, set during World War II, is about a five-member crew on a mission. Pitt leads the pack of the soldiers in the action drama.
In an interview to host Jimmy Kimmel, LaBeouf who came to promote Fury admitted that Pitt 'got hit' as he and his co-stars were all "vying for his attention" and wanted to prove themselves.
"None of us wanted to be the guy to hit him really hard. It's Brad Pitt, he's a hero. Being around him... we called him 'Top' the whole time, because he was 'Top Dog'," he said, and added that they almost indulged in fistfighting everyday.
"It worked, it bonded us, fighting between a group of boys is really intimate. We love each other," LaBeouf said. Shia also spoke about the arrest in summer.
Meanwhile, a World War II veteran said that he had no idea who Brad Pitt was before serving as a consultant on Pitt's "Fury".
