Indian Theatres To Welcome New Year With Unbroken Release

New Year will be really special for all Hollywood movie lovers. Hollywood's slate in Indian theatres in the New Year will begin with Angelina Jolie's directorial "Unbroken". It will release Jan 2, 2015.

The World War II drama will be the first Hollywood release of 2015 in India, read a statement. Based on the true story of Louis Zamperini played by Jack O' Connell, the movie is portrayal of the life and mishaps of the Olympian turned World War II fighter.

The movie, produced and directed by Jolie, stars actors Jack O'Connell, Takamisa Ishihara and Domhnall Gleeson in lead roles.

It is based on Laura Hillenbrand's 2010 non-fiction book "Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption". Unbroken has been getting good reviews and is also garnering a lot of Oscar buzz for several categories like Best Director, Best Actor to name a few.

This is the third directed movie by Angelina Jolie. The actress turned director's next project is By The Sea where she is acting as well. Angelina Jolie is acting with her husband, Brad Pitt and the couple will be seen on-screen after a decade. Their last on-screen pairing was in 2005's hit, Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Their son, Maddox Jolie Pitt is also assisting his mother in direction.
