silence
over
son
Jaycee
Chan's
drug
arrest.
Last
Thursday,
Jaycee
Chan
along
with
Taiwanese
star
Kai
Ko
Chen-tung
were
arrested
in
Beijing,
on
drug-related
charges.
The
31-year-old
son
of
Hong
Kong's
Kung
Fu
star,
Jackie
Chan
was
detained
by
the
Beijing
police
along
with
his
friend,
Kai
Ko
Chen-tung.
Jaycee
became
the
latest
high-profile
celebrity
to
get
caught
in
China's
one
of
the
biggest
anti-drug
crackdowns
in
two
decades!
Jackie
Chan
spoke
about
the
issue
and
said
that
he
is
ashamed
and
saddened
over
his
son's
detention
on
drug
charges
in
Beijing.
Jackie
Chan
added
that
he
had
"failed
to
educate" his
child
and
even
apologised
to
the
public
for
the
act
of
his
son.
"Regarding
this
issue
with
my
son
Jaycee,
I
feel
very
angry
and
very
shocked.
As
a
public
figure,
I'm
very
ashamed.
As
a
father,
I'm
heartbroken,"
Chan
wrote.
Jackie
Chan
wrote
on
his
micro-blogging
site
that
his
son
Jaycee
will
have
to
face
the
consequences
but
both
father
and
son
would
do
so
together."I
say
to
Jaycee
that
you
have
to
accept
the
consequences
when
you
do
something
wrong.
As
your
father,
I'm
going
to
face
the
road
together
with
you.
Police
said
that
both
Jaycee
and
Kai
tested
positive
for
marijuana
and
admitted
using
the
drug.
100
grams
(3.53
ounces)
of
marijuana
was
also
found
in
Chan's
house
during
the
raid.
Reportedly,
Jaycee
has
even
admitted
that
he
has
been
using
drugs
for
the
past
8
years.
The
process,
which
was
recorded
on
video,
shows
Jaycee
facing
the
interrogation
unprepared
and
trembling
while
holding
a
box
of
marijuana.
China
named
the
elder
Chan
anti-drug
ambassador
in
2009
and
his
son's
drug
arrest
has
been
really
embarrassing.
"Jaycee
and
I

express
our
deep
apology
to
society
and
the
public,"
Jackie
Chan
wrote.
Jaycee
Chan
is
accused
of
aiding
and
abetting
other
drug
users
which
is
an
offense
that
has
a
maximum
sentence
of
three
years
imprisonment.
Ko
on
the
other
side
is
accused
of
using
drugs.
