Author
JK
Rowling
has
denied
reports
that
she
is
releasing
12
'Harry
Potter'
short
stories
for
Christmas
this
month
via
her
site
Pottermore.
Pottermore's
Facebook
page
said
that
the
media
incorrectly
assumed
their
post.
"Just
to
put
everyone
straight
on
the
misleading
media
reports
of
'Twelve
New
Stories
for
Christmas'.
Two
days
back,
it
was
posted,
Christmas
is
coming
early
to
Pottermore.
Starting
Friday,
December
12,
we'll
be
releasing
a
surprise
for
you
every
day
on
pottermore.com
at
1pm
GMT
(8am
EST).
With
wonderful
new
writing
by
J.K.
Rowling
in
Moments
from
'Half-Blood
Prince',
shiny
gold
Galleons
and
even
a
new
potion
or
two,

As
true
Potter
fans
worked
out
straight
away,
our
12
days
of
festive
surprises
and
accompanying
rhyming
riddles
refer
to
new
potions
and
Moments
in
addition
to
several
new
entries
by
JK
Rowling
that
will
be
posted
on
pottermore.com
between
12th
and
23rd
December,"
the
announcement
read.
"Sorry
to
disappoint
fans,
but
there
will
not
be
a
set
of
12
new
short
stories,
one
for
each
day
of
Christmas.
Even
Pottermore
wouldn't
be
that
generous."
Previously,
many
fans
were
excited
when
reports
suggest
that
the
author
would
be
releasing
new
materials.
Pottermore
had
previously
said
that
there
would
be
"wonderful
writing
by
JK
Rowling
in
Moments
from
Half-Blood
Prince,
shiny
gold
Galleons
and
even
a

on
Facebook.
In
October,
Rowling
dropped
a
series
of
new
tales
for
Halloween,
including
a
story
about
the
evil
Hogwarts
professor,
Dolores
Umbridge.
