MTV EMAs 2014 Winners List: Nicki, Enrique, Ariana, Linkin Park & One Direction

The much awaited award ceremony, MTV Europe Music Awards 2014 has finally been held. MTV Europe Music Awards celebrated its 20th anniversary on Sunday with a Scottish-accented show in Glasgow.

It was mainly the night for women and boys bands who grabbed majority of the awards! So, who all won the MTV EMAs in the ceremony? Nicki Minaj hosted the award ceremony and grabbed the Best Hip Hop award this evening. "I've been learning so much about your beautiful country and culture ... I've pretty much become Scottish," Minaj said. She illustrated it by rapping about whiskey and shortbread and singing a snippet of The Proclaimers' anthem "500 Miles."

Ariana Grande won 2 awards; best female artist and also the best-single prize for "Problem," one of a string of hits she's had this year.

In the five-strong Best New category, 5 Seconds of Summer grabbed 3 MTV EMAs; Best Australian, Best Push and Best New.

Another boys band, One Direction too grabbed 3 awards at the MTV EMAs; Biggest Fans, Best Live and Best Pop. Linkin Park won the Best Rock category, and Chinese singer Bibi Zhou was proclaimed Best Worldwide Act.

Justin Bieber has been really lucky at MTV EMAs. Justin Bieber has grabbed the Best Male award for the 5 years in a row! Justin has been winning this category at MTV EMAs since 2010 till 2014.

'Roar' singer Katy Perry who is currently on tour in Australia, also won two awards: Best Video, for Dark Horse, and Best Look.

5 Seconds of Summer

In the five-strong Best New category, 5 Seconds of Summer grabbed 3 MTV EMAs; Best Australian, Best Push and Best New category.

One Direction

Giving close competition to 5 Seconds of Summer band is famous, One Direction. The band too grabbed 3 awards at the MTV EMAs; Biggest Fans, Best Live and Best Pop.

Nicki Minaj

MTV EMAs 2014 host Nicki Minaj not only performed and hosted the show, but also won the Best Hip-Hop category.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande won 2 awards; best female artist and also the best-single prize for "Problem," one of a string of hits she's had this year.

Katy Perry

The singer who is currently on a tour to Australia won two EMA awards: Best Video, for Dark Horse, and Best Look.

Linkin Park

Linkin Park won the Best Rock category.

Enrique Iglesias

Enrique not just performed at the MTV EMAs but also won the Best World Stage leaving behind Linkin Park, Nicole Scherzinger, Pharrell Williams and more.
