One Direction, Coldplay To Perform At BBC Music Awards

Direction,
Coldplay
and
Clean
Bandit

have
been
confirmed
to
perform
at
the
inaugural
BBC
Music
Awards.
On
December
11
at
London's
Earls
Court,
the
BBC
have
decided
to
hold
their
own
first
music
awards
ceremony,
which
will
be
broadcasted
live
on
BBC
One,
and
hosted
by
TV
personalities
Chris
Evans
and
Fearne
Cotton.
Apart
from
the
bands,
the
Dec
11
event
will
also
see
the
participation
of
artists
like
Ed
Sheeran,
Calvin
Harris
and
Paloma
Faith,
the
U.K.
public
broadcaster
announced
on
Friday.
"We're
really
looking
forward
to
the
BBC
Music
Awards.
It's
an
incredible
lineup
and
we're
honoured
to
be
part
of
it," Coldplay
frontman
Chris
Martin
said
in
a
statement.
DJ
Chris
Evans
said:
"We
shall
gratefully
be
tipping
out
hats
to
those
whose
lights
have
shone
the
brightest
and
whose
music
has
helped
water
the
inner
flowers
of
our
souls,
hearts
and
minds
over
the
last
twelve
months."
Hosted
by
BBC
radio
and
Chris
Evans
and
Fearne
Cotton,
the
award
show
will
be
broadcast
live.
