Good
news
for
Twihards!
It
has
been
two
years
since
the
fifth
and
last
installment
of
the
Twilight
Saga
hit
the
big
screen.
The
Twilight
fans
have
been
really
upset
as
their
favourite
on-screen
pair
Robert
Pattinson
and
Kristen
Stewart
will
not
delight
them
anymore.
Well,
it
is
time
to
cheer
up
as
Twihards
will
get
to
see
the
reunion
of
favorite
vampires
and
werewolves
but
on
a
smaller
screen.
According
to
The
New
York
Times,
Lions
Gate
and
author
Stephenie
Meyer
announced
today
that
they
have
plans
to
select
five
aspiring
female
directors
to
make
short
films
based
on
Twilight
characters.
And
guess
what,
Kristen
Stewart
will
be
a
part
of
the
panel
for
selecting
the
aspiring
female
directors.
The
panelists
also
include
Kate
Winslet,
Octavia
Spencer,
Julie
Bowen,
Twilight
director
Catherine
Hardwicke,
film
producer
Cathy
Schulman
and
'Frozen'
director
Jennifer
Lee.
The
mini-movies,
financed
by
Lions
Gate
will
be
shown
exclusively
on
social
networking
site,
Facebook.
"We
think
Facebook
is
a
great
way
for
us
to
introduce
the
world
of
‘Twilight'
to
a
whole
new
audience
while
re-energizing
existing
fans,"
Michael
Burns,
Lions
Gate's
vice
chairman,
said
in
an
interview.
Now
the
savviest
studio
marketers
are
using
Facebook,
Tumblr,
YouTube
and
other
online
platforms
to
keep
their
fans
engaged.
"This
is
the
just
the
beginning
-
a
template,
if
you
will,"
Mr.
Burns
added.
"You
can
probably
guess
what
might
be
coming
next."
So
is
Hunger
Games
the
next
in
their
mind?
