Watch Ellen's Message To David Letterman On His Last Show

It was indeed a big night for television! David Letterman, the talk show host who has entertained us with celebrity interviews and guests visits for years has resigned from The Late Show, leaving us sad and laughing.

Not only David's fans worldwide, but also one of the famous talk show hosts, Ellen DeGeneres has been feeling bad over the retirement of David Letterman who has given thirty-three years of comedy and pop culture moments to cherish!

In her recent episode from 'The Ellen Show', the host gave a message to David Letterman. She said, "Tonight is a big night for television. David Letterman is airing his final show. He is retiring."

Ellen further complimented his hard work and career saying, "What a career he has had. I think 33 years on television... For me personally, he is an inspiration."

The Oscar 2014 host admitted, "For me it was a goal to be on the David Letterman's Show. It is a big deal."

Ellen DeGeneres cherishes the experience she had at his talk show and said, "I was lucky enough to be on the show."

"I love you David, will miss you a lot," Ellen revealed in the message clip.

Earlier, Ellen also took to her Twitter page and wrote, "Tonight is David @Letterman's final show. What a wonderful, inspiring, hilarious, groundbreaking, amazing ride. #ThanksDave."
