Earlier,
Sam
Taylor-Johnson
announced
that
she
would
be
leaving
the
franchise
back
in
March.
Her
departure
was
confirmed
amid
rumours
of
a
fall
out
with
the
bestselling
trilogy's
author,
E.L.
James.
Now,
James
Foley
is
entering
the
world
of
erotic
with
Fifty
Shades
of
Darker
to
add
the
thrill
in
the
sequel.
"It's
quite
exciting," Dakota
told
Empire
after
revealing
that
James
Foley
s
going
to
put
the
director's
hat
for
the
sequel
of
the
2015's
erotic
blockbuster.
However,
Dakota
Johnson
who
plays
submissive,
Anastasia
Steele
in
the
BDSM
themed
erotica
was
however
afraid
once
Sam-Taylor
Johnson
quit
the
franchise.
"There
was
a
moment
of
being
afraid,
because
I
didn't
know
what
it
was
going
to
be
like.
I
had
an
experience
with
Sam
[Taylor-Johnson]
and
then
that
all
went
away.
Now
I'm
excited.
I
think
James
is
a
talented
filmmaker.
How
often
do
you
get
to
reconvene
with
the
same
people
and
have
a
different
spin?,"
she
added.
Dakota
Johnson
is
signed
up
for
the
final
two
films
in
the
trilogy
along
with
co-star
Jamie
Dornan
who
plays
the
handsome
dominant,
Christian
Grey.
Fifty
Shades
Darker
and
Fifty
Shades
Freed
are
set
to
be
release
around
Valentine's
Day
in
2017
and
2018
respectively.
