End Of An Era: Hugh Jackman To Play Wolverine One Last Time

After Jennifer Lawrence's exit from X-Men, it is time for handsome Hugh Jackman to retire from his role of Wolverine from the X-Men franchise.

The actor took to his Instagram account to confirm that he will be playing Wolverine for one last time in a pic which showed his clenched fists and the signature claws of his X-Men character.

"WOLVERINE ...ONE LAST TIME. HJ" the 46-year-old actor wrote.

X-Men: Apocalypse starts filming in April, but Jackman hasn't been confirmed for the film. However, Wolverine 3, the upcoming sequel to 2013's The Wolverine is reportedly filming back-to-back with Apocalypse.

Earlier this week, Jennifer Lawrence announced that Apocalypse will be her last film as Mystique.

Hugh's Wolverine first appeared in 2000's X-Men and he has appeared six times in numerous X-Men universe films, including last year‘s X-Men: Days of Future Past.
