Kate Middleton & Prince William Name Their Princess
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their newborn daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. The little princess' name references both royal tradition and family connections. Kate Middleton and Prince William have honoured both the families with this name. The royal baby prepares for an audience with Queen.
The baby princess will join a host of famous women with the same name from the 19th-century writer Charlotte Bronte and the Welsh singer Charlotte Church to the actress Charlotte Rampling. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are joint favourites to be godmother to the Princess, reports Telegraph.co.uk.

While in Australia, Prince Harry has said about his new niece: "She is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to meet her."

The two-day-old Princess has been photographed just once on the steps of the Lindo Wing, as her proud parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge allowed the world a glimpse of their new arrival.
Family members including Kate's mother and sister visited the new mother.
The Duke and Duchess will stay at Anmer, on the Sandringham estate, for the rest of the month and probably beyond, as the Duke is taking extended unpaid paternity leave from his job as a helicopter pilot with East Anglian Air Ambulance until June 1.
