lead
the
Jury
at
2016
Berlin
Film
Festival.
The
Mamma
Mia!
actress
and
movie
producer
has
won
more
awards
than
any
actor
or
actress
in
the
history
of
Hollywood.
Having
acted
for
more
than
40
movies,
she
is
considered
to
be
one
of
the
most
talented
and
versatile
actresses
in
Hollywood.
She's
known
for
her
acting
in
movies
such
as
The
Iron
Lady,
Into
The
Woods,
The
Devil
Wears
Prada
and
many
more.
Excited
and
a
little
worried
about
being
selected
as
the
president
to
lead
the
Jury
of
2016
Berlin
Film
Festivals,
Meryl
said,
"It
is
a
thrill
to
return
to
the
festival
under
any
circumstances,
but
it
is
with
great
relish
and
anticipation
I
look
forward
to
jury
duty,"
"The
responsibility
is
somewhat
daunting,
as
I
have
never
been
president
of
anything
before,
and
I
hope
I
can
come
up
to
the
precedent
set
by
the
distinguished
juries
of
preceding
years.

honor."
She
thanked
the
committee
for
her
new
role.
The
actress
has
been
to
the
film
festival
several
times
earlier
on
different
occasions.
In
2003
she
shared
the
Silver
Bear
award
with
Julianne
Moore
and
Nicole
Kidman
for
"The
Hours";
and
in
2012,
the
festival
gave
Streep
a
lifetime
achievement
award.
An
alumna
of
Yale
University,
she
studied
drama
in
college.
Apart
from
being
an
extremely
good
actress
that
she
is,
Meryl
can
play
the
Violin
too.
She
learnt
how
to
play
violin
by
practicing
for
6
hours
a
day
for
8
weeks
for
the
lead
of
the
famous
movie;
"The
Music
of
the
Heart".
