Kidman met Cruise in November 1989, while filming 'Days of Thunder', and they were married on Christmas Eve 1990 in Telluride, Colorado.

Perfect Together But...

The couple adopted a daughter, Isabella Jane (born 1992), and a son, Connor Anthony (born 1995). But things went wrong when the couple's spokesperson announced their separation on 5th Feb, 2001.

Divorce

Two days after separation news, Cruise filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Divorce was finalised in August the same year.

Reason Unknown Though

Although he cited irreconcilable differences, Kidman reportedly said that the actor left her without warning, refusing to discuss the problems in their marriage or to have counselling. It is believed that Scientology forced Cruise to split with Kidman.

Phone Tapping, Scientology & Ectopic Pregnancy

In 2015, former Church of Scientology executive Mark Rathbun claimed in a documentary film that he was instructed to "facilitate [Cruise's] breakup with Nicole Kidman". Cruise's auditor further claimed Kidman had been wiretapped on Cruise's suggestion. Kidman also suffered ectopic pregnancy which raised many fake news claiming it was not Cruise's child.

Kidman had to go through a tough phase when her marriage was failing. She reportedly begged Tom to not end their marriage. Moving On

In June 2006, she married Keith Urban. In the same month, she told in an issue of Ladies' Home Journal, "He was huge; still is. To me, he was just Tom, but to everybody else, he is huge. But he was lovely to me and I loved him. I still love him."

“I was so young”

She told Sam Kashner in the December 2013 issue of Vanity Fair, "I was so young. And you know, with no disrespect to what I had with Tom, I've met my great love now. And I really did not know if that was going to happen. I wanted it, but I didn't want it for a while, because I didn't want to jump from one relationship to another. I had a lot of time alone, which was really, really good, because I was a child, really, when I got married. And I needed to grow up."

Impulsive and Naive

"I was totally smitten - I fell madly, passionately in love," she said DuJour magazine in 2012. "I was reeling with Tom. I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him." But looking back on it now, she adds, "I was so impulsive and naïve."

She Is Happy Now

"My life changed (when she married Urban in 2006)," she told DuJour. "He is a wonderful, caring man and he makes me feel secure. We don't ever like to be separated." Kidman and Keith will celebrate their 9th wedding anniversary on June 25th, 2015.
