'Birdman' won 4 awards at the 87th Academy Awards which was just concluded at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Alejandro G. Inarritu walked away with his first ever Oscar award for his direction in "Birdman". He also won the Best Picture which was shared with the cast of the film.

The movie narrates the tale of Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton), best known to the public as Birdman - the superhero he once played in a series of films. He hopes to re-establish himself as a serious actor by mounting his own dramatic production on Broadway.

With self-doubt hindering the project, Thomson also finds himself threatened by the presence of a high-profile, egotistical movie star in his cast.
