Ellen
DeGeneres
is
back
with
her
show.
After
celebrating
holidays
with
wife,
Portia
de
Rossi,
Ellen
returned
back
to
The
Ellen
Show
to
welcome
everyone
to
the
all
New
Year,
2015.
On
the
first
show
of
2015,
Ellen
started
with
her
rumour
where
she
asked
about
how
the
new
year
resolutions
are
going.
Then
host
Ellen
decided
to
share
on
what
she
did
during
the
holidays.
Ellen
starts
by
saying
that
she
did
not
'had
a
great
Christmas
and
a
peaceful,
restful
holiday.'
Ellen
DeGeneres
and
wife
Portia
de
Rossi's
holidays
involved
"high
winds,
high
fevers
and
packing
peanuts," said
Ellen.
Giving
further
details
on
their
holidays,
Ellen
said
on
The
Ellen
Show's
first
episode
of
2015.
Ellen
said,
"Portia
and
I
decided
we
would
spend
holidays
at
home
coz
we
didn't
wanted
to
get
on
airplanes.
We
stayed
home
and
of
course
I
got
sick."
"We
drove
up
to
our
house
up
in
North...
Christmas
eve
started
to
get
windy,
with
trees
blowing
so,
it
was
nice.
But
then
the
winds
kicked
up
to
70
mile
an
hour.
It
sounded
like
a
tornado," Ellen
added.
Sadly,
there
was
not
electricity
as
a
big
branch
fell
down
on
Christmas
day.
The
tree
which
was
on
her
property
spoiled
her
eve
as
the
couple
had
problems
making
coffee
as
the
coffee
maker
could
not
work
without
electricity.
Sick
Ellen
could
not
even
use
a
heater
in
the
freezing
house.
This
all
happened
on
Christmas
day!
With
no
TV
and
Internet,
Ellen
and
Portia
decided
to
open
their
Christmas
gifts.
Ellen
revealed
that
wife,
Portia
gifted
her
a
beautiful
pottery
on
Christmas.
Ellen
explained
that
while
opening
the
gift
from
the
box,
styrofoam
packing
peanuts
(which
is
difficult
for
her
to
pronounce)
was
all
over
her
body.
Although
the
light
came
at
4:30
pm,
sick
Ellen
could
not
take
a
hot
shower.
Giving
a
recap,
Ellen
briefed
it
saying,
"It's
Christmas,
I'm
dressed
like
Gorton's
fisherman
[due
to
cold],
covered
in
packing
peanuts,
tears
frozen
in
my
eyes,
I'm
sick,
I'm
dirty
and
I'm
undercaffeinated.
The
only
good
news
is,
Portia
was
not
sick.
She
got
sick
on
New
Year's
Eve."
Pretty
sad!
