'The Martian' Trailer Starring Matt Damon Is Gripping!

The first official trailer of Matt Damon's upcoming 3D film "The Martian" has been dropped and it is astounding! Directed by Ridley Scott, the film is based on Andy Weir's bestselling novel of the same name.

The first trailer of 'The Martian' shows Damon as a NASA astronaut Mark Watney, who is giving a personal guided tour to the doomed Mars bound spaceship, the Hermes.

In the first few seconds of the trailer, we see other stars Jessica Chastain, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jeff Daniels, Donald Glover, Kate Mara and Kristen Wiig.

'The Martian' will be Scott's fourth sci-fi movie after "Alien" (1979), "Blade Runner" (1982) and "Prometheus" (2012).

The film narrates the survival story of Watney, who has left for dead on Mars after the crew gets caught up in a storm. With no one from his crew, no fertile soil, and only enough supplies to survive for 31 days, the movie shows how Watney struggles to stay alive and comeback after being left in the Mars.

Matt Damon is strong as he tries to struggle and survive for 4 years till someone else comes from Earth to take him. But things do not go as planned.

The film, written by Drew Goddard and produced by Twentieth Century Fox, is expected to release on November 25th.
