Anton Yelchin's Parents Hold Carmaker Responsible For Their Son's Death

Former Star Trek actor and late Anton Yelchin's parents are en route to file lawsuit against the carmaker. They believe that the faulty product is the main reason behind their only son's death. The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be sued under wrongful death and product liability lawsuit.

"Anton was our only son and was a remarkable human being. It is wrong, it is against nature when parents bury (their) own child." said the former Star Trek actor's father, Victor Yelchin.

Anton Yelchin was reportedly killed in an accident when he went out for a rehearsal in his car Fiat Chrysler. When Anton had exited his car due to some reason, leaving it on the driveway, it rolled back down the steep slope and pinned him down to death against a wall.

"The safety recall was way too little and way too late,we hope this lawsuit will teach them a lesson," said the family's lawyer Gary Dordick, in front of a portrait of Anton. It is emotional for the parents and even for the lawyer fighting his case as well.

"This vehicle prior to Anton's death had over 700 rolling incidents, dozens of people injured that they knew about. The problem with the gear shift is that people mistakenly think it's in park and there's no warning" said Dordick.

The lawyer also added that Yelchin's parents are not after the money but they are seeking punitive damages and want to teach the profit oriented companies a lesson, who put profit over human safety.
