Director James Wan Says Aquaman Will Feature Swashbuckling Action

Celebrated director James Wan states that the upcoming superhero flick Aquaman, will have a good amount of "swashbuckling action".

The 39-year-old film-maker also added that, he is preparing to deliver the world something "super cool." He said, that the movie Aquaman will feature unique action sequences and stunts, some of which is underwater as well.

"I kind of don't want to give too much away but know this: The spirit that I'm going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story. It's ultimately a quest story in the spirit of Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Romancing the Stone," said Wan.

"I think Amber Heard and Jason Momoa, in their moments in Justice League, are going to give the rest of the world a flavor of what their own standalone movie could be. And that is just scratching the surface of what I plan to do." the director added further.

While the movie Aquaman, is all set to hit theaters in July 2018, the Aquaman actor Jason Momoa, who portrays the character eponymous Atlantean, will also be seen in another superhero movie Justice League beside Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and others in November 16, 2017.
