Celebrated
film-maker-director-producer
James
Cameron,
confirms
that
the
sequel
of
the
hit
animated
movie
Avatar
is
going
to
be
a
"family
saga" and
probably
will
focus
largely
on
the
aspects
of
human
life
and
struggle.
"The
storyline
in
the
sequels
really
follows
Sam
Worthington
as
Jake
and
Zoe
Saldana
as
Neytiri
and
their
children.
It's
more
of
a
family
saga
about
the
struggle
with
the
humans," Cameron
stated.
The
director
had
also
promised
that
the
second
installment
would
appear
during
Christmas
2018,
and
he
wants
the
other
sequels
to
follow
closely
to
one
another.
"We
haven't
moved
that
target
yet,
but
we
will
if
we
need
to.
The
important
thing
for
me
is
not
when
the
first
one
comes
out
but
the
cadence
of
the
release
pattern."
Cameron
said.
"I
want
them
to
be
released
as
close
together
as
possible.
If
it's
an
annual
appointment
to
show
up
at
Christmas,
I
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
able
to
fulfil
on
that
promise,"
he
added.
Production
on
Avatar-2
will
possibly
start
in
2017.
Stephen
Lang
and
Sigourney
Weaver
both
are
expected
to
reprise
their
respective
roles;
however,
it
will
be
interesting
to
see
how
they
are
portrayed
in
the
sequel
as
both
of
their
characters
had
died
in
the
first
part.
