Chris Evans To Star In Lionsgate's Upcoming Film Dr Jekyll

According to the reports, The Captain America star, Chris Evans is all set to appear in a new iconic character as Dr. Jekyll, in collaboration with Lionsgate Movies.

Sources confirmed, that the actor is in talks regarding the finalization of the cast and scripts. The movie will be based on Steven Moffat's 2007 BBC miniseries. Evans seems to be highly interested in this role.

According to Chris's upcoming movie schedule, he is going to appear in the movie Gifted, directed by Marc Webb and is all set to release on April 12, 2017. Soon after the all anticipated Avengers will come up - Avengers Infinity War -I, which will hit the theaters on May 4, 2018.

But, fans may get to see Chris Evans much sooner with a brand new appearance for the movie Dr. Jekyll if everything goes according to the plan.

The script for The Jekyll movie, will be adapted by Charles Mondry from the original miniseries and will be produced jointly by Jeff Kleeman, Ellen DeGeneres and Anthony Bagarozzi.

The original Jekyll series featured stars like James Nesbitt, Meera Syal, Denis Lawson, Gina Bellman and Michelle Ryan. Though it is not yet confirmed if some of the original cast will be repeated in the big screen version.
