Gina Rodriguez Feels She Has Been Empowered By Mark Wahlberg

Deepwater Horizon actress Gina Rodriguez reveals that her co-star and friend Mark Wahlberg, has helped her a lot in getting on with life and even establishing herself in the industry. She added that Mark Wahlberg has technically empowered her in life.

Rodriguez feels that Mark Wahlberg has totally "got her" and well-understood the hardship and obstacles she had to overcome before becoming a Hollywood actress.

"One thing I find extremely empowering about Mark is that he doesn't want to do it alone. He wants to help everyone around him, uplift everyone around him." She said.

"Mark understands that he got to where he was because of all the people that helped him get there, including himself," Rodriguez added.

"He got me. He got the idea that s**t was hard and I pushed through. It wasn't just hard as a Latina, it wasn't just hard as a curvy leading lady, but it was hard as a woman."

"It was hard as somebody that came from the hood. He gets the struggle, and he could see it in someone else," said Gina.

Gina also discloses that her journey to fame has never been easy and that she had to overcome a lot to reach where she is now at the moment.

"I know that this journey hasn't been easy or quick. It seems to almost get harder because my dreams get bigger and I desire more." She added.
