states
that
the
whole
star
cast
of
the
film
was
taken
to
a
boot
camp
for
portraying
the
role
perfectly
in
the
movie.
"Seven
of
us
did
two
weeks
of
boot
camp
in
Atlanta.
And
that
was
a
condensed
version
of
what
you
would
actually
go
through
for
boot
camp," Alwyn
stated.
Joe
Alwyn
will
be
seen
playing
a
critical
character
of
Billy
Lynn,
in
the
movie.
Lynn
added,
"So
we
had
no
contact
to
the
outside
world,
we
all
lived
together
in
this
tiny
little
motel
in
Georgia
and
every
day
went
through
this
training
which
was
incredibly
intense
and
tough
and
pushed
us
to
breaking
point."
"But
also
brought
us
together
as
a
group
of
boys,
made
us
come
together
as
a
unit."

on
the
novel
of
the
same
name
by
Ben
Fountain.
The
story
is
set
in
the
backdrop
of
war
between
Iraq
and
US.
It
is
narrated
through
the
view
point
of
a
19-year-old
boy
Billy
Lynn,
played
by
Alwyn.
The
movie
intends
to
bring
forth
the
darker
side
of
war
and
honour
the
war
heroes.
The
Sony
Pictures
Entertainment
has
acquired
the
film
rights
and
is
looking
forward
to
a
November
release
in
India.
