Jared Leto Finds Hollywood Conservative, Says No Place For Gay Leading Man

The Suicide Squad actor, Jared Leto says that Hollywood is still very conservative in its mannerism and approach and feels that there is no place yet, for a gay leading man to be in the cast.

"I definitely don't think a gay leading man would have the same opportunities as a straight leading man," Leto said.

"I don't think that. Not for a single second. I don't know if that's offensive or not, but that's my thought right now. It shouldn't be that way. I don't think you'll have as many opportunities," he added.

Even Leto argued his views on the same against the so-called minorities in the industry. He said they are not accepted properly in Hollywood, even today.

"And I think you could say the same for minorities. What a word, 'minority'. Have we taken that word off the list yet? Because it should be. Anyway, no, I think that this is still a very conservative business," Leto said.

Jared Leto also took pride in the character as Joker he plays for the movie Suicide Squad and said - "You're kind of walking upon hallowed ground, and it deserves the very best that you can do. It takes over your life and that's what I needed to do for myself."
