Even
though
Robert
Kirkman,
the
creator
of
The
Walking
Dead
initially
said
that
the
popular
comic
series
might
end
only
after
each
and
everyone
safely
reaching
Alexandria.
However,
things
went
into
a
different
way
for
the
drama
series.
It
explored
more
into
the
world
of
Alexandria
and
now
it
has
a
lot
more
stories
left
to
tell
the
audience.
Although
Robert
Kirkman
had
also
mentioned
that
the
show
will
end
differently
than
that
of
the
comics
and
would
have
a
different
version
altogether.
While
talking
about
the
ending
the
actor
Michael
Rooker,
who
plays
the
character
of
Merle
Dixon
feels
that
the
show
must
end
with
a
lone
survivor
walking
off
into
a
sunset.
"A
railroad
track...going
on
forever,
into
the
setting
sun.
From
behind
camera
a
single
individual
walks
down
the
middle
of
the
track...into
the
setting
sun.
You
realize
that
individual
is
Carl...all
grown-up,
a
man
of
his
own." Said
Michael
Rooker.
"No
one
else
is
with
him
just
him.
And
as
he
does
his
voice-over,
you
realize
that
all
the
seasons
that
you've
seen
is
him
reliving
his
past.
So
everyone
on
the
show
is
dead.
He's
the
only
survivor,
and
he's
on
his
own
and
walks
off
into
the
sunset.
And
that's
the
end
of
the
show." He
added.
