MTV Awards 2016: The Complete List of Nominations

Now that the Oscars is finally over and all the deserving awards received, may be it is time to wrap things up, but hold on! Not just yet, for the 25th annual MTV movies awards is on its way!

Unlike the Oscars which is truly dedicated to the pure art form of cinema, this MTV awards is based on audiences' votes and their judgement. That's what makes MTV awards so unique and wonderful.

A fair warning though, the nominations are so damn awesome that it's hard to decide who to vote for! We can only be hopeful and wish that all our favourite nominees get to grab that golden popcorn and go home.

Similar to the last year, MTV chose to go mobile and has annouced the list of nominees for this year's categories on its Snapchat Discover channel. The event which takes place in Burbank, Calif., on Apr. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT is co-hosted by the upcoming movie Central Intelligence co-stars, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart who are among the other nominees.

What's so interesting about this year's nominations is that two new additional categories True Story and Documentary have been added along with the traditional Best Movie, Best Actor and such.
