Katie
May
dies
at
34
due
to
a
Catastrophic
stroke.
She
was
supposedly
seeking
treatment
for
her
neck
pain
prior
to
the
stroke.
The
Model
suffered
a
blockage
in
one
of
her
arteries
located
near
the
neck,
which
supplies
the
blood
to
the
brain.
She
was
hospitalized
on
Monday,
following
the
stroke.
Katie
,
who
was
also
a
single
mother
is
survived
by
a
7
years
old
daughter
Mia.
A
campaign
called
GoFundMe
has
been
launched
in
order
to
raise
money
for
May's
daughter.
The
campaign
has
already
raised
more
than
$6,400,
since
yesterday,
February
4,
2016.
The
page
read,
'Katie's
family
plans
on
using
any
money
raised
to
help
pay
for
education,
Mia's
daily
life
and
to
help
her
dad
with
the
costs
of
parenting.'
The
model
who
appeared
on
multiple
international
magazines,
including
Playboy
and
Sports
Illustrated
had
a
huge
fan
following.
Katie
had
about
2
million
followers
on
Instagram
alone.
Her
latest
post
was
on
Monday,
February
1,
2016,
when
she
took
to
Instagram
to
share
the
status
which
read,
'Hope
everyone
is
having
a
great
Monday!
It's
very
windy
here
today.'
In
an
interview
Katie
revealed
that
she
grew
up
in
a
small
town
outside
Pittsburgh
and
was
the
youngest
of
four
children.
Her
parents,
who
were
both
teachers
supported
the
family
by
taking
up
multiple
jobs.
After
graduating
from
college,
she
took
up
PR
jobs
in
high-end
fashion
house
Dolce
&
Gabbana.
She
fell
in
love
with
her
ex
Alex
Maimon,
with
whom
she
has
her
daughter.
The
relationship
fell
apart
shortly
after
she
got
pregnant.
