Idina Menzel's Top Priority Is Her Son Walker

Celebrated Hollywood singer-songwriter and actress Idina Menzel says that her son Walker, who is now 7 years old, is her top priority in life. She says "Walker has always been my top priority". Even at the time of getting separated from her ex-husband Taye Diggs.

The 45-year-old actress says, she feels it equally essential for her as well as her ex-husband Taye Diggs, to give their son the utmost priority despite their separation in the year 2014.

"Your child comes first, that's all. It's all about that. He comes first and you have to get past your own egos and you never talk bad about each other," Idina Menzel said.

Menzel added that she wishes to keep her son far from the implications of the outside world and she explains she has no idea at all, as to when she can tell his son Walker about how things work out in the real world.

"It's hard to know what's age-appropriate as far as educating your child and how much to teach him about what's out there, and that there are bad people out there and there are people who don't like other people." Menzel added.

"You want to keep him insulated and safe and not ruin his perspective of the world," she added further.
